Walton Mill Storage is 100% locally owned and operated by lifelong Monroe residents. We are proud of our town and our community and are glad to offer a modern, clean, safe, secure and affordable option in climate controlled self storage units.
I have some nice stuff. What is your climate control like?
Our climate controlled self storage facility stays between 60 and 75 degrees year round. We also run dehumidifiers to keep humidity under 40%. You won't find a better climate controlled facility -- we have 24" thick brick walls! We specialize in clean, safe and secure climate controlled storage.
What is your access like?
We have 2 customer entrances at our climate controlled storage facility in Monroe, both with automatic doors that are controlled with a keypad (only customers can get into the building) One of our entrances is at ground level and the other is at the same height as a pickup truck/Uhaul bed. They are about 100' apart and you may use either.

All of our units are on the ground level -- no stairways or elevators!
We also have several flat carts for our customer's use to make moving your things in and out of your storage unit a breeze.

Where are you located?
We are located at 600 South Broad Street in Monroe Georgia. Just a few blocks south of downtown, we are part of the Walton Mill redevelopment. To find our entrance, turn off Broad Street, turn right at the stop sign and go past and around behind Jagged Edge salon. We're convenient to downtown Monroe, Between, Jersey, Good Hope, Social Circle, and all of Walton County.
What size unit do I need?
Here's a rough guideline for what a few of our climate controlled self storage units can hold.
- 5x5: equivalent to an average walk in closet
- 5x12: equivalent to an average backyard shed. Can hold several rooms of furniture
- 8x12: Can hold the contents of a typical one bedroom apartment.
- 12x12: Can hold the contents of a small house
- 12x19: Can hold the contents of a 2 bedroom house
- 12x24: Can hold the contents of a 3-4 bedroom house
How long will I need to agree to rent a unit?
There is no minimum stay -- you may stay as long (or as short) as you need to.
I didn't know about you guys. How long have you been here?
We opened for business in November of 2022. We aren't as visible as some facilities, but we don't mind that. We're tucked away right in the heart of Monroe at the old cotton mill (Walton Mill), behind the antique mall and apartments.
Some storage facilities are kind of sketchy and creep me out. Is yours like that?
Good question. We've picked up those vibes at storage facilities before too. Good news is that our modern climate controlled storage facility is super clean, safe and secure. We have great lighting inside and out, easy access to the building, security cameras everywhere and the facility is located in the Walton Mill District in downtown Monroe along with lots of other businesses (Hodge Podge Antiques, Everlasting Bridal, The Factory at Walton Mill, JL Design Weddings and Floral, Solid Ground Chiropractic, Keller Williams, Jagged Edge Salon, etc) so the parking lots are clean, safe and well lit.
